Presentations in North America, New Zealand, Australia, Wales England, Scotland and Ireland. Since 2003, co-keynote Spiritual Directors International Conference, keynote VST’s Children and the Church 2005, keynote Compassionate Friends Scottish Conference, one of the keynotes of Through the Whirlwind:Disabilities, Spirituality and Faith Conference New Zealand, Marriage and Educators National Conference Australia (co-sponsored by Catholic Church of Australia), St. Vincent de Paul National U.S. Meeting 2005, and have given presentations for such groups such as World Gathering on Bereavement, Catholic Charities 2005 USA Conference, SoulFeast Conference in North Carolina sponsored by Upper Room, Iona Community Scotland and Christian Meditation Society London England.
1988 cont. Director, Island Loss Clinic, group of two clinical psychologists providing psychotherapy and crisis management for trauma, grief and loss. Contracts include provision of Psychological Trauma Response Team for community disasters on Vancouver Island through Mental Health Services, individual and group psychotherapy for traumatically brain-injured individuals through the Vancouver Island Health Authority Brain Injury Program. Clinic therapists also provide Critical Incident Stress Debriefing and Trauma Recovery to various government and private agencies and businesses.
1978 continuing. Psychotherapy in the areas of trauma, grief and loss with adults and children. Since 1988 accepted as Expert Witness in the B.C. Supreme Court.
2004 cont. Psychological mentor and instructor in Spiritual Director Formation Programme, Queen’s House Retreat Centre, Saskatoon.

1979-1990 (part-time) Grief Consultant at Queen Alexandra Hospital for Children Provided crisis intervention for bereaved parents nights and weekends when there were no social work staff at the acute care hospitals. Provided ongoing individual, family and group counselling for bereaved parents. Provided consultation to staff around loss issues for inpatients.
1979-1981 Coordinator - Victoria Association for the Care of the Dying. (4 days per week) Provided trained volunteers for grieving and dying individuals. Due to its success, the B.C. Government provided initial grant to start Hospice Victoria. V.A.C.D. became Hospice Victoria volunteer component..

1996 - 2003 Pacific Animal Therapy Society member with two therapy dogs who visit nursing homes and hospitals and in my psychotherapy practice.
